Tastemaker Gift Edit
Thoughtful, stylish, and deeply giftable selections from eight incredible tastemakers.
This year, I wanted to try something new. I reached out to a handful of people whose taste I admire. Friends, creatives, founders, experts, and people who inspire me daily and asked them to share their own curated holiday gift edits. A true Tastemaker Gift Edit.
Each person brings such a unique perspective, rooted in their background, their passions, and the way they live their lives. I’m genuinely so honored (and a little bit pinch-me!) that they all said yes. Their picks are thoughtful, smart, stylish, and in many cases introduced me to brands and special finds I’d never even heard of which is exactly what I hoped this would be.
Below, you’ll find a collage from each tastemaker along with every item linked so you can easily shop their edit. I hope this inspires your gifting, sparks ideas, and maybe helps you discover something new and special this season.
Madeline Gibson: Celebrity Makeup Artist @glambygibs
Madeline is a celebrity makeup artist based in New York, and I was lucky enough to experience her magic firsthand when she did my makeup back in September. Her energy is the absolute best—warm, fun, and instantly familiar. I felt like I’d known her for years, and I trusted her completely… which paid off because I’ve truly never had better glam in my life. I was sad to wash my face at the end of the night. She’s not only incredibly talented but also teaches makeup lessons (yes, you can book them virtually!), and honestly, I think we could all benefit from one. Her gift picks are a perfect mix of her holy-grail products and can’t-miss items for the beauty lover in your life. Shop Madeline’s edit here.
Alex Taylor : Co-Founder of @perelelhealth
Alex is the co-founder of Perelel, a wellness vitamin brand built on the belief that women need unique nutrients based on their exact hormonal stage. Perelel has truly reshaped the landscape of women’s health, and Alex’s mission to fund, support, and advance women’s health at every phase is something I deeply admire. She also serves on the board of @foundationwomenshealth, continuing to advocate for meaningful change. Alex and I met in our early twenties at a friend’s birthday on Catalina Island, and I’ve been inspired by her ever since. Her career is incredible, from her early days at Vogue to roles in fashion and beauty at Google and Who What Wear. Alex is smart, warm, supportive, and fearless. I’ve always admired her desire to build something impactful and meaningful, all while being a mom of two, a wife, and one of the most stylish leaders I know. Her wishlist is the perfect mix of high-end luxury and genuinely useful essentials. I’m so honored to have her as part of this year’s edit. Shop Alex’s edit here.
Max Gilles: Founder of @thehouseonlovers & @maxpopetheedit
I met Max seven years ago when I moved to Dallas and was desperately in need of a great colorist. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he has the most impeccable taste. It has been such a joy watching him open his beautiful, successful salon House on Lovers and launch Max Pope The Edit. Max is truly unstoppable and this is only the beginning for him. He’s one of the sweetest, sassiest, and most fun people you’ll ever meet, and I feel so lucky to know him. Shop Max’s edit here.
Whitney Port: Creative Director @thehighconfectionary
I’ve loved Whitney since her Hills days, when she first appeared as the cool fashion girl we all adored. She always struck me as genuinely kind with an effortless sense of style. I’ve always admired how she beats to her own drum; her eye is unique, thoughtful, and entirely her. When I reached out to ask if she’d like to participate in this edit, she joyfully said yes, and I couldn’t believe someone of her caliber was willing to join in. It says so much about who she is and only makes me want to support her even more. I love her gift edit, she introduced me to a new brand (of course she did), exactly what I’d expect from her impeccable taste. Shop Whitney’s edit here.
Jaime Miller: Co-Founder of @getspilledmilk
Jaime is the co-founder of one of the best children’s boutiques, @getspilledmilk. I feel so lucky that when we moved back to California, Hunter landed in the sweetest little class, because that’s how I met Jaime. She’s a mom of two adorable girls, and truly, her daughters are some of the best-dressed little girls I’ve ever seen. Spilled Milk reflects that same magic: the assortment is unique, special, and so much fun. If you ever find yourself in Montecito or Costa Mesa, you must stop by, you’ll oooh and ahh over the thoughtfully curated pieces. Their website is equally wonderful, and every gift note is handwritten by their small family-run team, which makes sending gifts feel extra special. Jaime’s edit is the perfect blend of elevated finds for her and a few can’t-miss gems from her store. Shop Jaime’s edit here.
Elise Braun: Professional Organizer, founder of @neatbyelise
Elise recently stepped away from her corporate career at Mattel (working on Barbie!) and embarked on a new adventure helping people organize their spaces. I was lucky enough to have her in my home for two days, and she completely transformed my closet and pantry from a disaster zone into a calm, functional, beautifully organized space. I love that her gift edit reflects exactly who she is: thoughtful, stylish, and deeply practical. Every pick is something you’ll actually use and love. Shop Elise’s edit here.
Shelby Kopeika: Founder & Designer of @kopikidz
Shelby is the founder and designer of the children’s brand @kopikidz, where she hand-dyes and collaborates with artisans to create colorful, happy, and thoughtfully made clothing and accessories meant to be worn, lived in, and played in. She’s also a mother of two boys, which makes her perspective on kids’ clothing and design even more special. I met Shelby when we first moved back to California, our sons were in the same class! With her background as a stylist, her creativity runs deep. Shelby is one of those people you just want to be around: genuine, kind, and endlessly imaginative. Her gift edit is a perfect reflection of that…a mix of her personal wishlist and whimsical, beautiful gifts to give.
Melissa Dodd: Teacher, Mom, Creator @mrsrainbowbright
Melissa is a kindergarten teacher and the creator behind @mrsrainbowbright, where she shares a real and refreshing look at motherhood along with the most useful crafts, educational toys, books, and everyday ideas. She’s especially relatable to me because we both have two kids around the same ages. I love how she balances motherhood, her passion for teaching, and still finds time to show up for her online community. Her gift picks are fun, thoughtful, and full of great ideas for any of the girls in your life!
I’m so grateful to every tastemaker who contributed to this project. It means the world that they took the time to share their wishlists, their must-haves, and the gifts they’re excited to give this year. Their perspectives made this edit feel more personal and more inspiring than anything I could have created alone.
If you loved this format, let me know! I’d absolutely love to continue this series throughout the year with new categories, new tastemakers, and even deeper edits.
And as always, if you’re shopping from any of these lists, feel free to comment or reply with questions. I’m always happy to help you find something perfect.
Happy gifting! 🎁
